Nashville Mayor Karl Dean was the guest speaker at the Division of Public Affairs’ bimonthly staff meeting held at Sarratt Student Center Jan. 11.
The mayor, now in his second term, spoke at length about several of his focuses since taking office, including improving education, physical health, security and public transportation in Nashville and the surrounding region.
Dean said Nashville must continue to make strides in these areas in order for the city to attract industry and tourism and remain competitive among its peers.
