Nine named to Athletics Hall of Fame

Nine athletes were inducted into the Vanderbilt Hall of Fame on Friday, Sept. 2, at the fourth annual Hall of Fame and Scholarship Dinner.

They are: David Latimer, Scotti Madison, Lamar Alexander, Peter Lamb, John Ingram, Tyler Griffin, Will Perdue Sheri Sam and Carl Hinkle.

The athletes were also recognized at the Vanderbilt football game on Sept. 3 vs. Elon as a part of Hall of Fame weekend.

Vanderbilt Athletics officials announced the school’s fourth Hall of Fame class in July. The Class of 2011 spans more than 70 years of Commodore history.
