Registration is now officially open for Vanderbilt’s Second Annual 9/11 Weekend of Service
Here is the form to officially register your service project
Your service project must be registered by Tuesday, Aug.16. All Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff that want to participate in a 9/11 service project will then be able to sign-up for a project online through the OACS website.
If you are having difficulty planning a service project, please contact the OACS staff or visit our 9/11 Website to view a guide that will help you plan your project. This year the 9/11 Weekend of Service will take place on Friday, Sept. 9, Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11. Please note that there is a home football game against Connecticut on Saturday and that this may influence volunteer recruitment.
We will also be sponsoring a service fair during first-year orientation (3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23 in The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons) where you will be able to table and recruit first-year students to volunteer with you on the weekend of 9/11. Only organizations participating in the 9/11 Weekend of Service will be able to table at this service fair. You will be responsible for any recruitment materials that you want to display on your table. OACS, however, will provide sign-up sheets for each organization.
