Vanderbilt University Medical Center is the official medical provider for the second annual Women’s Half Marathon and 5K in downtown Nashville on Saturday, Sept. 24.
VUMC’s Event Medicine team, along with certified athletic trainers from Vanderbilt Sports Medicine, will provide medical care along the race course at first aid stations and at the finish line.
The race starts and finishes in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame, with half marathoners beginning at 7 a.m. and 5K runners starting at 7:15 a.m.
Registration fees are $95.
Finishers receive a two-in-one medal and charm, a designer goodie bag and T-shirt and access to the post-race finisher’s breakfast and cookie café. Preceding the race is a free two-day women’s-specific expo at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
The Nashville race is part of the Women’s Running Magazine Women’s Half Marathon Series.
