Betty Price, who has overseen the financial accounting, planning and reporting operations of the university for many years, has announced she will retire at the end of June.
Price, deputy vice chancellor for finance and controller, has been at Vanderbilt for 24 years.
“The university is in solid financial health and has strong, committed leadership,” she said in announcing her retirement to colleagues. “We have an outstanding team, and I leave my current role knowing the university’s students, faculty and staff will be well served in the future. I look forward to continuing to support our wonderful university through volunteer work and alumni activities.”
Brett Sweet, vice chancellor for finance and CFO, said, “We are all grateful for Betty’s excellent years of service and wish her the best as she pursues other post-retirement endeavors.”
