Film with Vanderbilt ties recognized by Variety

The bible of the entertainment industry has taken note of a film made in Nashville with the participation of Vanderbilt students.

Variety magazine calls Música Campesina “easygoing and rambling” in a review in its April 28 edition.

Música Campesina is the work of Alberto Fuguet, a visiting professor at Vanderbilt. It features actor Pablo Cerda (Velodrome) as a Chilean man trying to get his bearings in Nashville. Several film studies students from Vanderbilt participated including Ashley Zeiger, who gets the cinematography credit.
