National Walking Day at Vanderbilt is April 6

(Vanderbilt University/Steve Green)

On Wednesday, April 6adults nationwide can make the pledge to begin walking and to become active and heart healthy at work. So wear your sneakers and see how much fun it is to take a walk.

Join a 20-minute group walk starting at Medical Center North and ending at Library Lawn led by Health Plus staff beginning at 12 noon.

Come to the finish at 12:20 p.m. on Library Lawn for a brief celebration of Vanderbilt’s commitment to a culture of wellness led by Marilyn Dubree, executive chief nursing officer, and Wright Pinson, associate vice chancellor for clinical affairs.

Can’t join the group walk?  Take 30 minutes out of your day to get up and walk by yourself or with a co-worker. View the Vanderbilt Campus Marked Walking Trails to get started or create your own walk.
