Mayor Dean joins Vanderbilt leaders and employees for walk at Vanderbilt

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean will join Vanderbilt University Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos, Vice Chancellor Jeff Balser and other university officials and employees for the annual Senior Leader Walk Thursday, Oct. 14, from noon to 12:45 p.m.

Groups will proceed from five different locations to the Health Plus facility at the corner of Kensington and 25th Avenue South for a brief ending ceremony, which will include presentations, food and prizes. The walk is in celebration of Health Plus and Vanderbilt Heart’s Start! Campaign, which encourages walking and physical activity.

The mayor and chancellor will be among the officials who will lead a group starting from Wilson Hall on 21st Avenue South.

Walks will begin at the following locations:

1. Wilson Hall
2. Peabody Library (in front of Iris Cafe)
3. Frist-Godchaux Hall (in front of Annex)
4. Medical Center Plaza (near Light Hall)
5. Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt (front entrance, near statue)
