Dorothy Legros, a senior in the College of Arts and Science, died during Spring Break after visiting her sister near Atlanta.
Legros, 22, died March 8 from injuries suffered in an accident in Hampton, Ga.
The funeral is tentatively set for 10 a.m. March 20 at Lithgow Funeral Home, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, 33181. Visitation was scheduled at the funeral home 6 to 10 p.m. March 19. For more information, call (305) 940-6304 or check www.dignitymemorial.com.
Legros’ Toyota Corolla was struck by a pickup truck as she attempted a left turn, said Clayton County police spokeswoman Lt. Tina Daniel.
“It appears that the sun was in just the right place to obstruct their vision,” Daniel said.
Legros died at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle was treated at a local hospital, as was the driver of the pickup truck.
Legros was from Miami.
