Immigration reform in the United States

The topic of immigration reform in the United States will be discussed by the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, Mark Krikorian and conservative political analyst Bay Buchanan. The discussion will be held at noon on March 23 in the Hyatt room at Vanderbilt University Law School. The event is free and open to the public.

Krikorian’s Center for Immigration Studies is a conservative think tank in Washington, D.C. which examines the impact of immigration on the U.S. The center promotes itself as having a “pro-immigrant, low immigration vision that seeks fewer immigrants but a warmer welcome for those admitted.”

Buchanan was U.S. treasurer under Ronald Reagan. Since then she has chaired the Commission on Women Business Owners, the California delegation of the Republican National Convention and ran all three of her brother Pat Buchanan’s presidential campaigns. She is also a regular television news contributor.

The discussion is sponsored by the law school’s Federalist Society.
