Hundreds of volunteers and professional staff worked thousands of hours to coordinate last October’s Reunion and Homecoming Weekend, which drew nearly 7,000 alumni, family members and friends to campus. Topping off the festivities were Reunion gifts from alumni totaling more than $41 million, with the Class of 1958 leading the way in class participation at nearly 44 percent.
Barely had the tents been torn down when planning began for the 2009 event. The date has been set for Oct. 16–17, and you’re invited to start making your own plans to be there.
Reunion/Homecoming 2009 will celebrate the reuniting undergraduate classes of 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999 and 2004, along with all Vanderbilt Quinqs. The schools of law, divinity, nursing and medicine also are planning events. Class parties, the Homecoming Tailgate, a full schedule of educational events, and the football game against Georgia will round out the festivities.
