For the past several weeks, hundreds of people have filled out information at the Rand Bookstore and entered it in a drawing for a chance to win Music City Bowl tickets.
Out of all the students, faculty and staff that entered, first-year student Caroline Hadley was the lucky winner on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
She entered the drawing several weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the good news in the midst of her finals. She was interested in going to the Bowl, but "I wasn’t sure if it would work out, or if I’d have the money," said Hadley.
Now, she plans to drive over from her home in Knoxville on New Year’s Eve. As for the extra ticket, she plans to keep it in the family.
"I have a sister who is a senior year, and my brother graduated from here," said Hadley. "I might take one of them."
