Vanderbilt will celebrate the selection of Nicholas S. Zeppos as the university’s eighth chancellor during a special open house Monday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Student Life Center. This will be the first opportunity for Zeppos in his new role to greet the Vanderbilt community, much of which was on spring break when the Board of Trust chose him March 1 as the university’s new leader at the conclusion of its winter meeting. Board of Trust Chairman Martha Ingram and student leaders Cara Bilotta and Joseph Williams will make brief remarks during the event, which will feature food, music and other party fare. Students, faculty and staff as well as members of the Nashville community, alumni and other friends of the university will join in the festivities.

PARKING: Parking for television trucks that are not live trucks is available in the garage under the Student Life Center that can be accessed from Vanderbilt Place off of 25th Avenue South. If you are bringing a live truck, please contact Princine Lewis at 322-2706 to arrange parking. A limited number of spaces are available for print and radio media in Kensington Garage on 25th Avenue South.
