Randolph Blake named chief of staff to Chancellor Search Committee

Centennial Professor of Psychology Randolph Blake has been named chief of staff for the committee that will conduct the search for Vanderbilt’s eighth chancellor.

Blake, former chair of the psychology department, received his doctor of philosophy from Vanderbilt. Among his many honors are the 2000 Earl Sutherland Prize for Achievement in Research and his 2006 election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a fellow in the Kennedy Center for Research in Human Development and a member of the Vanderbilt Vision Research Center and the Vanderbilt Center for Cognitive and Integrative Neuroscience.

Blake will provide staff support and counsel to the Search Committee during the search process. The Search Committee is made up of members of the Board of Trust and will be assisted by an advisory committee of Vanderbilt faculty, staff and students.
