Stop Global Warming College Tour event open only to Vanderbilt community; Activist Laurie David and singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow come to Vanderbilt April 18

Global warming activist Laurie David and Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow will come to Vanderbilt University Wednesday, April 18, for a campus-only event as part of their Stop Global Warming College Tour.

The event, which is only open to the Vanderbilt community, will be held at the Student Life Center and starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are free and are available to Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff. Only one free ticket may be picked up with a Vanderbilt identification card at the university’s Sarratt Student Center box office.

A ticket and Vanderbilt identification must be presented to enter the Student Life Center the evening of the event. Parking is available in the 25th Avenue Garage – enter the garage off Highland Avenue.

The event is sponsored at the university by the Vanderbilt Programming Board’s Music Group.

“History proves that college students have the ability to be the driving force in large-scale social change and now – more than ever – is the time for students across the country to become global warming activists,” said Laurie David, founder of stopglobalwarming.org and author of Stop Global Warming: The Solution is You!

“The more I learn about global warming, the more I know that we all have to do something to be a part of the solution. I am thrilled Laurie and I have the opportunity to go on the road and combine our efforts to educate the next generation on how they can make a difference,” said Sheryl Crow.
