NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, best known for playing Meadow Soprano on HBO‘s Emmy-award winning drama The Sopranos, has cancelled her speaking engagement at Vanderbilt University on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
Sigler was to talk about her battle with anorexia, which she first documented in her 2002 book Wise Girl: What I‘ve Learned About Life, Love and Loss. She is a spokesperson for the National Eating Disorders Association and has said that she exercised excessively in order to lose an extreme amount of weight.
The university‘s Speakers Committee, a student-run organization, was sponsoring Sigler‘s talk.
Ticketholders can get a refund of the $10 ticket price at Sarratt Box Office on Vanderbilt‘s campus or at any Ticketmaster outlet.
