Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management and the Center for Nonprofit Management will hold an information session Thursday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. regarding how to apply for an annual tuition sponsorship of an area nonprofit executive to attend the Vanderbilt Executive MBA (EMBA) program.

The Owen Graduate School of Management first offered the nonprofit tuition sponsorship, worth approximately $78,000, in 2005 to recognize and reward the contribution that nonprofits make to the local community. The first recipient of the sponsorship, YWCA vice president Robyn Minton, entered the 21-month EMBA program this fall. Minton will be on hand to answer questions at the information session.
The Vanderbilt Nonprofit Executive MBA is open to executives and senior staff members of any Middle Tennessee 501(c)3 organization, and candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to serving in the nonprofit sector. Candidates are subject to standard admissions requirements and will be required to submit an application, available online at www.cnm.org, and to provide academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, GMAT test scores and a personal statement. A personal interview is also required. Final selection among qualified candidates will be made by a committee comprised of nonprofit executives and Owen Graduate School of Management administration.
