Youth leaders from across Nashville will converge at the Vanderbilt Law School Sunday, Oct. 15, for the forum, “Youth Engagement as a Strategy for Youth Development and Community Change.”
The forum will feature discussions and presentations by youth from various youth councils, boards and leadership groups and local and national experts in youth development. It will include a presentation by leaders of Common Cents, a youth empowerment effort in New York City.
The forum is primarily sponsored by the Vanderbilt Child and Family Policy Center and the Tufts University Applied Developmental Science Institute of the Ellio-Pearson Department of Child Development.
It is associated with Family Reunion 12, “Families and Education,” an all-day conference Oct. 16 at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center.
Podcasts of portions of the youth forum will be available after the event on VUCast, Vanderbilt‘s news network, www.vanderbilt.edu/news.
