“Remembering Sept. 11” will be the focus of a Vanderbilt University interactive videoconference on Monday, Sept. 11, with Professor James Booth, whose research includes the remembrance of national events. Booth, who is a professor of political science and philosophy, wrote the book Communities of Memory. He contends that justice demands that we keep the memories of the 9/11 victims alive. Students in approximately 30 schools, ranging from New York and New Jersey to Texas and Kansas, will hear Booth’s presentation and have the opportunity to ask questions afterwards. “Remembering Sept. 11” is one in a series of videoconferences for K-12 schools hosted by Vanderbilt’s Virtual School.
