Respect for a variety of religious traditions is growing in America, but that welcome development holds potential pitfalls for democracy, believes a Princeton University sociologist set to speak at Vanderbilt University.
Robert Wuthnow, the Gerhard R. Andlinger ’52 Professor of Sociology and director of the Center for the Study of Religion at Princeton, will speak at 7:30 p.m. March 23 in Vanderbilt University’s Benton Chapel, 411 21st Ave. S. The topic will be “In America, All Religions are True: Implications of the New Pluralism for Democracy.”
