Scopes for Schools workshop postponed

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Scopes for School workshop, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the Vanderbilt University Dyer Observatory, has been postponed.

Scopes for Schools, sponsored by the National Science Foundation and Vanderbilt University Department of Physics and Astronomy, is designed to give minority and other underserved students greater exposure to the science of astronomy. During the workshop, students and teachers assemble their own telescopes for use in their classrooms.
