Hipsters, poseurs, waitresses and polka were among the many topics raised during a panel discussion with Vanderbilt sociologist Richard Lloyd about his new book, Neo-Bohemia: Art and Commerce in the Postindustrial City.

In addition to Lloyd, panelists included Philip Kasinitz, Sociology, CUNY and Hunter College; Carlo Rotella, American Studies, Boston College; and Adrienne Outlaw, Nashville artist. The event was sponsored by the Curb Center for Art Enterprise and Public Policy at Vanderbilt.
