The work of three Fisk University scholars who research the lives and music of people in the Mississippi Delta in the 1940s was celebrated Nov. 3 with music and discussion in Fisk’s historic Jubilee Hall.

The evening included musical performances by the Fisk Jubilee Singers and by acoustic blues duo Jack Pearson and William House. The panel discussion was moderated by Bill Ivey, director of the Vanderbilt Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy, and included Lost Delta Found editors Bruce Nemerov and Robert Gordon, Dr. John Work IV and Judge Frederick Work, sons of John Work upon whose work much of the book was based, and Matthew Kennedy, professor emeritus of Fisk University.
