Allan Hubbard, assistant to the president for economic policy and director of the National Economic Council, will talk about America’s economy at a

lecture Thursday, Sept. 22, in 103 Wilson Hall on the Vanderbilt University campus.
He has held a number of political and professional posts including serving as president of Indianapolis-based E&A Industries, volunteer chairman of the Indiana State Republican Party and chairman of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce. He served in the Bush-Quayle Administration as executive director of the Council on Competitiveness and has been a member of the boards of directors for WellPoint Inc., Foundation for Better Health and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership.
Hubbard graduated cum laude in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt. In 1975, he received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, and Masters in Business Administration with Distinction from
Harvard
Law
School
and Harvard School of Business Administration.
