Vanderbilt University Chancellor Gordon Gee and Fisk University President Hazel O’Leary will lead a celebration Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. of the two universities’ Masters-to-Ph.D. Bridge Program partnership to increase the number of minority students pursuing their doctoral degrees in physics, astronomy and the biomedical sciences. Both university leaders will speak, and students who are participating in the partnership will be available for interviews. The event will feature a performance by the Fisk Jubilee Singers.
