Students from six area high schools and nine middle schools will demonstrate their enthusiasm and expertise with technology during an April 13 competition at Vanderbilt‘s Wyatt Center. The Dell Student Technology Leadership Competition and Showcase, now in its fourth year, recognizes student teams that exhibit the most innovative thinking while benefiting the school or community. The high school team judged to have the best technology project will win a Dell Wireless Lab for its school. The winning middle school team receives six Dell notebook computers for use by the Student Technology Leadership team. Vanderbilt‘s Virtual School oversees all the student teams, assisting with team development and project management.

WHERE: Rotunda of the Wyatt Center, located at 1930 South Drive on Vanderbilt‘s Peabody campus. Parking for the media is available in Lot 77 at the corner of Horton and 18th Ave. S. Please contact the News Service at 322-2706 for a parking permit for Lot 77.
WHEN: The public is invited to view the exhibit from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. The winning schools will be announced at 1 p.m.
