The Vanderbilt Kennedy Family Outreach Center will host an
organizational meeting for a series of workshops for area college
students and young adults who have a brother or sister with special
needs, mental health issues or chronic illness on Tuesday, Sept. 7,
from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Sibshop workshops for young adults, aged 18 to 26 years, will meet alternate Tuesdays during the fall semester.
Sibshops are a collaborative effort with several disability groups
throughout the Nashville area to provide siblings of individuals with
special needs an opportunity to participate in activities and
discussions with others with similar experiences. To learn more about
Sibshops, visit http://kc.vanderbilt.edu/kennedy/community/sibshop.html.
The Sibshops are free and open to the public. Contact Teresa Turnbo at (615) 936-5118 for more information or to register.
