MEDIA ADVISORY–Tabitha Tuders reading scholarships to be dedicated

The family of Tabitha Tuders will dedicate scholarships in Tabitha’s name to the Kennedy Center Reading Clinic Tuesday, June 1, at 3 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Family Outreach Center. Tabitha, 13, was abducted in April 2003 outside her Nashville home. Friends of the Tuders family established the scholarship fund in March 2004 in honor of Tabitha and her love of reading.

WHAT: The dedication of the Tabitha Tuders Reading Scholarships. The Tuders family will donate some of Tabitha’s favorite books to the Vanderbilt Kennedy Reading Clinic collection, a neighbor of the Tuders family will share a story about Tabitha’s gift for reading, and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center will express its appreciation for the scholarships.
