Sweet 16 basketball viewing party for students scheduled at Vanderbilt

It’s the Commodores first trip to the NCAA’s Sweet 16 since 1993,
and Vanderbilt students will gather Thursday to see if the men’s
basketball team can keep the winning streak going against No. 2 seed
University of Connecticut. The viewing party for the NCAA basketball
tournament will be at the Rand Dining Hall and Sarratt Stonehenge Media
Lounge starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. Vanderbilt’s men’s team beat North
Carolina State, pulling out a victory in the final seconds, to advance
to the Sweet 16. Vanderbilt’s women’s basketball team also is
headed to the Sweet 16 after defeating UT-Chattanooga.
