Vanderbilt’s Division of Public Affairs promotes four to assistant vice chancellor

NASHVILLE, Tenn. ñ Vanderbilt announces four staff members have been
named assistant vice chancellors within the University’s Division of
Public Affairs.

Elizabeth Latt has been named assistant vice chancellor for News and
Communications and will continue as director of the Vanderbilt News
Service.

Betty Nixon, director of Vanderbilt’s Office of Community, Neighborhood
and Government Relations, has been named assistant vice chancellor for
Community, Neighborhood and Government Relations.

Judy Orr, director of Creative Services, has been named assistant vice chancellor for Creative Services.

Jeff Vincent, director of Federal Relations, has been named assistant
vice chancellor for Federal Relations and executive director of
Vanderbilt’s Washington, D.C., office.

"These promotions recognize the successes and outstanding leadership
efforts of these individuals, who play integral roles in the many and
varied public affairs programs that Vanderbilt executes daily," said
Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Michael
Schoenfeld.

Chancellor Gordon Gee created the Division of Public Affairs in August
2000 to strengthen Vanderbilt’s public, media, community and government
relations.
