NASHVILLE, Tenn. ñ Two busloads of University of Mississippi students will arrive in Nashville today to join approximately 100 Vanderbilt students in a weekend of student fellowship and volunteerism. The second "Sports and Service: A Winning Tradition" will take place today and Saturday at seven service sights around Nashville and on the Vanderbilt campus.
Between 4 and 6:30 p.m. today, the students will sort food items at the Second Harvest Food Bank and Nashville’s Feed the Children warehouse, prepare and serve meals at the Nashville Union Rescue Mission and the Campus for Human Development, perform grounds beautification at the Monroe Harding Children’s Home, do maintenance on the YMCA’s YCAP facility and campus improvement at Eakin Elementary School.
The students will share dinner at the service sites, then all will return to the Vanderbilt campus for the University’s annual Fall Festival, where two bands will perform on Alumni Lawn.
On Saturday, the students will don their separate teams’ colors and convene at Vanderbilt’s Community Partnership House for a bagel breakfast before heading to Dudley Field to cheer on their respective teams.

The Nashville service locations include:
∑Second Harvest Food Bank, 331 Great Circle Rd.
Students will be sorting food for the Salvage Program
∑Feed the Children, 615 Davidson St.
Students will be sorting donated items including food and hygiene products.
∑Nashville Union Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette.
Students will be preparing, serving, and sharing dinner with the men staying at the mission.
∑The Campus for Human Development , 532 8th Ave. S.
Students will be preparing, serving, and sharing dinner with the men staying at the mission.
∑Monroe Harding Children’s Home, 1120 Glendale Lane.
Students will be cleaning and re-staining picnic tables and railings.
∑YCAP (Youth Community Action Program; part of the YMCA), 1021 Russell St. Students will be doing a general clean up of their facility and the group home.
∑Eakin Elementary School, 2400 Fairfax Ave.
Students will be painting 4 bathrooms.
