Plans for the Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will highlight a kickoff event for the Eve of Janus Ball on Sunday, June 1, 2-4 p.m., in the lobby of the Frances Williams Preston Building on the Vanderbilt campus.
The Eve of Janus Ball on June 6 is an annual fund raiser for Vanderbilt’s division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology for services to aid families of children with leukemia, aplastic anemia and other life threatening blood disorders.
Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital CEO Jim Shmerling will present a slide show about the new hospital. Dr. James Whitlock, Craig-Weaver Associate Professor of Medicine and director of the division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, will also speak to the invited guests, which will include organizers of the ball and VCH administrators and staff.
The kickoff event will culminate in the presentation of the young women who will be honored at the Eve of Janus Ball. The ball is organized by the Nashville Tri Delta Alumni Association.
