NASHVILLE, Tenn.–James E. Rogan, under secretary of commerce for intellectual property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), will speak on The Current State of Patent and Trademark Law in the Global Economy on March 13 at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. The event is free and open to the public.
Rogan manages USPTO’s operations and is policy adviser to the Bush Administration on all domestic and international intellectual property matters. He also co-chairs the National Intellectual Property Law Enforcement Coordination Council, which oversees domestic and international intellectual property law enforcement issues among federal entities.
