White nationalism the topic of roundtable at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Three Vanderbilt professors will join law professor Carol Swain Oct. 1 at 4:15 p.m. in Wilson Hall for a roundtable discussion of her book, The New White Nationalism in America: Its Challenge to Integration.

Law and sociology professor Beverly Moran will moderate the discussion by Swain, who also is a professor of political science; Lewis Baldwin, professor of religious studies; James Blumstein, professor of law; and Lucius Outlaw, professor of philosophy and director of African American Studies at Vanderbilt.

The event, which is sponsored by the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center, is open to the public. The Vanderbilt bookstore will have copies of Swain’s book for sale in the lobby of Wilson Hall following the event, and Swain will remain on hand to sign the books.
