Vanderbilt’s Melodores won The Sing Off holiday television special, becoming the first collegiate group in the NBC program’s history to win the competition. Vanderbilt’s student a cappella group beat out five other teams during the one-night-only event to take home a $50,000 grand prize. Formed in 2009, The Melodores include about a dozen members, all of whom are current Vanderbilt students.
