Television – VUStar

VUStar

Vanderbilt experts are available for live interviews or live on tape interviews directly from campus with network television, cable networks or television stations outside of Nashville. VUStar is a campus broadcast facility that links Vanderbilt experts to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The studio also has an ISDN line for high quality radio interviews.

How It Works

VUStar has a dedicated fiber optic link to Vyvx’s Nashville connection. From there the signal can be transmitted through Vyvx’s fiber backbone to your receiving location or to any teleports in the U.S. for a satellite uplink. We have a 15-year veteran television news producer and an award-winning news photographer with 20-plus years experience to meet your needs quickly.

Cost

The staffing of VUStar, phone lines and the fiber optic link from Vanderbilt to Vyvx’s Nashville connection are free when using Vanderbilt experts. Costs for signal switching and fiber optic prices must be negotiated directly with the carrier.
