Chancellor Zeppos tells grads to fare well

Vanderbilt awarded 3,494 degrees this year, 1,583 to undergraduates and 1,911 from its graduate and professional schools.

Kite Runner author tells grads to continue learning, give back to community

Novelist Khaled Hosseini wished Vanderbilt graduates “prosperity” in their post-college lives, but suggested they stay connected to suffering in the world by tithing 5 percent of their time or money to those less fortunate.

Vanderbilt University honors 17 faculty members as emeriti

Seventeen retiring faculty members were recognized during Vanderbilt’s May 14 commencement ceremony when the university honored their years of service and bestowed on them the title of emeritus or emerita faculty.

Top students honored with Founder’s Medal at Commencement

Since 1877, a gold medal has been awarded to the student graduating at the top of his or her class from each of Vanderbilt’s schools.

Baseball game raises more than $20,000 for flood relief

On Tuesday, the fans attending the Vanderbilt vs. Louisville baseball game once again illustrated the strength of Nashville by giving generously to support flood relief efforts in Tennessee.

Vanderbilt helps sponsor, organize Paris film festival

Vanderbilt University is the primary organizer of a film festival in Paris that focuses on the experiences and contributions of blacks in French society.
