VU Hospitals only Tennessee hospitals to make Leapfrog Top Hospitals List

Vanderbilt University Hospital and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt have both been named among the nation’s 45 Leapfrog Top Hospitals for 2009.

From Blair’s Quarternote: Playing it Forward;Blair volunteers pass on their craft

For 25 years, the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School has provided music instruction to schoolchildren from low-income families for just 50 cents a lesson. These talented and dedicated students are often taught by Blair School of Music students. Every week student volunteers from Blair conduct private lessons with children ages 9-18 in almost every major instrument.
