Signs point toward lighter flu season

A Vanderbilt researcher has observed that the flu is very mild in the Southern Hemisphere this year, meaning it will most likely be mild for the Northern Hemisphere as well.

Buttrick lighting upgrade saves 34 metric tons of GHG emissions

A recent upgrade to the lighting in Buttrick Hall, a classroom building on Vanderbilt University’s campus, saves both money and the environment.

Vanderbilt honored as one of the ‘Healthiest Employers’ in Middle Tennessee

The companies were judged based on wellness programs for employees. Criteria included cultural commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, programming and intervention and reporting and analysis.

VUMC holiday parking and transportation schedule

Special holiday schedules will be in effect Dec. 24, 27 and 31 and Jan. 3.

Student volunteers provide tutoring, mentoring to help at-risk youth improve reading

Vanderbilt students have mobilized a rotating group of 60 fellow student volunteers to meet with North Nashville youth every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
