Test of AlertVU system scheduled for Feb. 25

Vanderbilt and Black History Month

In 1971, Larry Wallace, became the first African American to be elected Student Government Association president.  Larry was also instrumental in organizing the first black fraternity, Omega Psi Phi. He was elected to the Alumni Board in 1977 and became the president of The Alumni Association in 1991.
