Vanderbilt’s greenhouse gas emissions down 19 percent since 2008

Overall greenhouse gas emissions from the campus and medical center have decreased from 2005 to 2012, even though Vanderbilt has seen significant growth in square footage, staff, students and research dollars.

Goldfarb named to ‘Popular Mechanics’ top 10 innovators list

"Popular Mechanics" named Vanderbilt mechanical engineer Michael Goldfarb one of this year's “Ten Innovators Who Changed The World” for an exoskeleton he developed that helps people with paralysis to stand.
