West Tennessee Healthcare and Vanderbilt University Medical Center announce academic affiliation agreement

Leaders of West Tennessee Healthcare (WTH) and Vanderbilt University Medical Center today announced an academic affiliation agreement which further establishes a collaborative relationship between the two institutions, now for the creation of new cancer programs in West Tennessee. Vanderbilt takes top prize in NASA student rocket launch challenge

The Vanderbilt Aerospace Club has captured first prize in the 2013 NASA Student Launch Initiative. The Vanderbilt team also took home the 2013 Best Payload Design award for the most creative and innovative payload experiment: bio-hybrid ramjet engines that use carbon-neutral, 100-percent-renewable bio-hybrid fuels for combustion.

Symphony plays on despite rain

Despite the event being moved from Peabody Lawn to Ingram Hall due to thunderstorms, the annual Vanderbilt family night with the Nashville Symphony drew an appreciative audience of Vanderbilt faculty and staff and their families. The event was sponsored by Employee Celebration.
