Park at Vanderbilt for city’s July Fourth celebration

Vanderbilt is partnering with the city of Nashville to offer parking for “Music City July Fourth: Let Freedom Sing!,” a full day of family activities culminating in the city’s fireworks show. Vanderbilt University Medical Center shuttle lots will be offered as one of the parking options for those wanting to attend the festivities.

For the last five years, scientists and engineers at Vanderbilt have been collaborating closely with colleagues at other public and private universities and research centers throughout Tennessee in an effort to increase the state’s energy research capacity.

Influential former administrator featured in doc chronicling LGBT community

K.C. Potter, Vanderbilt dean of residential and judicial affairs, emeritus, is among those featured in "A Secret only God Knows," a documentary film chronicling the lives of gay, transgender and bisexual residents who reflect on life in Middle Tennessee before 1970, and how homosexuality was viewed in the larger community.
