SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, and Vanderbilt University have announced the establishment of the SPIE Faculty Fellowship in Optics and Photonics. The $500,000 gift from the SPIE Endowment Matching Program will be matched 100 percent by Vanderbilt.

Staff and postdocs: Submit vaccination records by July 19 to be eligible for $1,000 prize drawing
 
COVID-19 vaccinations will be required for all members of the Vanderbilt community for the 2021–22 academic year. To thank those who submit their vaccination records early, the Division of Administration will conduct a drawing for 25 Vanderbilt University-employed staff and postdocs who submit their records to the university’s vaccine portal by 8 a.m. on July 19.
