Mark Wallace named dean of the Graduate School

Mark Wallace, director of the Vanderbilt Brain Institute and a prolific and distinguished neurobiologist and mentor, has been named dean of the Vanderbilt University Graduate School, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan Wente announced today.

Former head football coach George MacIntyre dies

George MacIntyre, who served six years as head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores and guided the squad to an appearance in the 1982 Hall of Fame Bowl, died Tuesday in Nashville following a lengthy illness. He was 76.

Crane removal will close Garland Avenue Jan. 12–13
