Town hall meeting today will gather feedback on QEP proposals

The Office of the Provost is soliciting feedback on three proposals under consideration for selection as Vanderbilt’s 2017 Quality Enhancement Plan. The campus community is invited to attend a town hall meeting at 5 p.m. Monday in the Jean and Alexander Heard Library Community Room, during which members of the QEP subcommittees will share and discuss their ideas.

For Vanderbilt photographer, Gulf War experience led to career in pictures

Joe Howell was a student at the University of Tennessee and a U.S. Marine Corps reservist in August 1990, when Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein invaded the neighboring oil-rich nation of Kuwait. At the time an aspiring photographer, Howell took his camera with him to the battlefield and trained his lens on the men and machinery around him.
