Anne Anderson, the first woman ambassador of Ireland, visited with Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos on Jan. 29. She was accompanied by Shane Stephens (left), consul general for Ireland. He is based in Atlanta with responsibilities for the Southeastern region of the United States. During the brief meeting, the ambassador and the chancellor discussed potential academic partnerships between Ireland and Vanderbilt. Anderson formerly chaired the United Nation’s Commission on Human Rights.
