VUMC wins Spring 2015 Digital Health Awards

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Strategic Marketing Department received multiple awards in the 17th annual Digital Health Awards program for spring 2015. This national competition — held twice each year, in the spring and fall — recognizes the world’s best digital health resources.

Vanderbilt Health and Children’s Hospital were recognized in the Website category: The Children’s Hospital site won a bronze award, and VanderbiltHealth.com won a merit award. Vanderbilt Health also won a bronze in the Responsive Website category.

The CoachSmart app received a merit award in the Mobile App category.

The Spring 2015 competition drew nearly 600 entries. Competitors included Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Northshore LLJ, UCLA and more. A panel of 39 experts in digital health media awarded gold, silver, bronze and merit by division and category.

The Digital Health Awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. Other well-known HIRC programs include the annual National Health Information Awards, which annually recognizes the nation’s best consumer health programs and materials (for nondigital resources), and two national “Fitness Day” events: The annual National Women’s Health & Fitness Day and the annual Family Health & Fitness Day USA.
