Provost serves up family favorites to students at Rand

(Steve Green/Vanderbilt)

For the second year, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan Wente served up some of her family’s favorite dishes to students during the dinner service at Lunch Paper in Rand Hall on Oct. 20. Students were encouraged to stop by, enjoy delicious Campus Dining food, and visit with the provost.

A nationally recognized professor of cell and developmental biology, Wente was appointed Vanderbilt’s provost by Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos in July 2014. During the 2013-14 academic year, she co-chaired the executive committee of the university-wide Academic Strategic Plan and is currently co-directing its implementation. Wente is the university’s chief academic officer with responsibility for academic programs as well as student affairs, housing, admissions and financial aid and research.
