Commodore fans living in Tennessee can now show their school spirit with one of two specialty license plates. The state of Tennessee has approved two plate options—one featuring the Star V logo and the other celebrating Vanderbilt’s 2014 national baseball championship.
Fans are encouraged to pre-order their plates online through vucommodores.com. If this is not convenient, the process can be handled through the Vanderbilt Ticket Office or the National Commodore Club. Visit the FAQ page to learn more about the Vanderbilt Athletics plates and to order.
The cost is $40 per plate and does not include state and local registration fees. The state of Tennessee requires a pre-sale of at least 1,000 plates of each design before it will begin production on the plates. The production process takes about four months after reaching the 1,000-plate mark.
The state will take a share of the cost, and the remaining portion will go to Vanderbilt’s athletic endowment fund designated for student-athlete scholarships.
